While this run has certainly had its ups and downs, we never expected it to come to an end this way. We are heading back to NY so Donna can have surgery as soon as possible, she became quite ill last week, and ended up in the ER over the weekend. The Dr here in Iowa wanted to remove her gallbladder here, but we think it would be better to get home and have the operation there.
She is experiencing complications due to the inflammation now and we won't be able to wait until the run is over to have the surgery done.
I am hoping to come up with some findraising ideas for when things settle down a bit, and Donna recovers. I will post an update when things progress.
